Information for Prospective Students

Home Undergraduate Students

The main source of funding for Undergraduate Home students is a Student Loan. If you are from England, you can apply online via the Direct Gov website.

You can also apply for a loan to cover your tuition fee costs. You will need to re-apply for your student loan for each year of your study.

Students from Scotland should apply for their student support via Student Awards Agency Scotland (SAAS)

Students from Wales should apply for their student support via Student Finance Wales

Students from Northern Ireland should apply for their student support via Student Finance NI

Eligible health students on certain programmes may also be eligible for a bursary from the NHS. To find out more information about eligibility, contact NHS Student Bursaries.

The Financial Assistance Fund (FAF) provides discretionary financial assistance for students who find themselves in financial difficulty.  You will need to submit an application form direct to UCL and provide documentation to support your application.  You must be a current student (fully enrolled) at UCL before you can apply to the FAF.  For further details and an application form, check our FAF webpage.

The UCL Undergraduate Bursary is for Home and EU UG students commencing study from 2012 onwards. Further info can be found on our undergraduate webpages here.
