Sir George Jessel Studentship in Mathematics
A studentship for MPhil/PhD research in Mathematics is available to UCL graduates. A candidate must have been an undergraduate student of UCL, and must have graduated, or be a candidate for graduation in the term in which the award is made. The studentship may also be awarded to someone who has held it in the previous year.

John Hawkes Scholarships
Up to three scholarships are available for MPhil/PhD research in Pure Mathematics in the Department of Mathematics. The primary purpose of the award is to support third-year Pure Mathematics PhD students; however, where no suitable candidate(s) are found for all or part of the funds available, scholarships may be awarded to first- or second-year Pure Mathematics PhD students.
Value
Funds available for all three scholarships total £12,000 per annum. Scholarships may be held for a maximum of three years.

Monica Hulse Scholarship
One scholarship is awarded annually to a prospective graduate student from any country admitted to the Department of Mathematics for full-time Master's study or MPhil/PhD research.
This Scholarship, founded in 2004, is funded from a regular lifetime gift from Dr Paul Hulse, alumnus of UCL, in memory of his mother, Monica Hulse (1934-1999).

£1,000 for one year only.

Application and Information
Candidates wishing to apply for the Scholarship must send written notice of their intention to apply for the Scholarship, along with an academic CV, to the Graduate Tutor in the Department of Mathematics. Applicants should not normally be in receipt of any other special funding (other than in exceptional circumstances).

Edwin Power Scholarship
One scholarship is awarded annually to a graduate student admitted to the Department of Mathematics for Master's study or MPhil/PhD research in Applied Mathematics.

£400 for up to three years, subject to annual renewal based on satisfactory progress
