Margaret Richardson Scholarship
The Margaret Richardson Scholarship was founded in 1987 under the will of Mrs Margaret E.A. Richardson.
A total sum of £5,000 is available to prospective M.Phil./PhD students in German. Candidates must have an upper second class degree or equivalent in
German or a related field of study to enable them to undertake research
work in this subject.
The scholarship may be awarded as one £5,000 scholarship or split into two awards of £2,500 each at the discretion of the selection panel. The selection criteria is academic merit and/or potential.
Fielden Research Scholarship
A scholarship of £1,000 is available to M.Phil./PhD students in German Language and Literature. Candidates must have graduated, or be in the final term of their research programme. The selection criteria is academic merit and/or potential.
The application deadline for the above scholarships is 25th May (or the next working day, should the 25th fall on a weekend or public holiday).
