NERC Awards

The department usually has at least one NERC Award for MPhil/PhD research.  Details are advertised on the department website in January-February each year.

ESRC Awards

Studentships are awarded through the UCL ESRC Doctoral Training Centre.  Details are advertised on the department website in January-February each year.

Ted Hollis Scholarship

The Ted Hollis Scholarship was founded in 1998 by colleagues and friends in memory of Dr Ted Hollis, alumnus and lecturer in the Department of Geography who died suddenly in 1996. He was notable in the field of wetland hydrology and nature conservation and a member of the international wetland research community.

The Ted Hollis scholarship is available to an MPhil/PhD student pursuing research leading to a PhD in the field of Wetland Hydrology and Conservation at UCL's Department of Geography.

Value

The Scholarship provides full tuition fee funding and a maintenance payment equivalent to the NERC rate of the year in which the scholarship is awarded. The Scholarship is tenable for three years.
