Linguistics Departmental Award

Two awards of £500 are available for the MAs in the Linguistics Research Department (MA Linguistics, MA Phonology, MA Pragmatics, MA Syntax). All successful applicants will be considered for this award at the beginning of June for entry in September of the same year and will be notified in July.

Speech, Hearing and Phonetic Sciences Departmental Award

One award of £500 is available for the MA Phonetics. All successful applicants will be considered for this award at the beginning of June for entry in September of the same year and will be notified in July.

Centre for Human Communication Award for Students on the MRes in Speech, Language and Cognition

One award of £500 is available for the MRes in Speech, Language and Cognition on behalf of the Centre for Human Communication. All successful MRes applicants will be considered for this award at the beginning of June for entry in September of the same year and will be notified in July.

ESRC studentships for MRes Speech, Language and Cognition

A small number of ESRC studentships are available each year. These studentships provide full funding (fees and stipend) for the MRes + PhD, both of which must be taken at UCL. Deadline for applications for entry in September is end of January of the same year. MSc Language Sciences

Four departmental scholarships of £2400 will be available for students applying for the MSc in Language Sciences. Candidates holding an offer of admission to UCL for the MSc Language Sciences by 1 June 2010 will be considered for these awards. It is therefore strongly recommended that applications for admission to UCL are submitted as early as possible, and certainly no later than four weeks before the 1 June 2010 scholarship deadline.
