Information for Prospective Students
UCL Childcare Support Grant
Childcare grants of up to £2500 are available to eligible
students studying on participating programmes.
To qualify for a childcare grant you must have submitted an
application to the main UCL Graduate Support Bursary (GSB) scheme.
Applications will be assessed on the same criteria as the UCL GSB and you must be enrolling on one of the participating programmes specified for that scheme. Although the number of grants is limited, where additional funding is available these will be awarded to non-bursary (GSB) holders.
Childcare grant holders will be required to provide evidence
of the cost of their childcare at the start of their programme, but it is fine
to provide estimates at the application stage. Childcare grant holders will also be able to apply for support through
the Access to Learning Funding (ALF), provided they meet the eligibility
requirements for that scheme. Please note that applications for ALF can only be accepted from students after they have enrolled at UCL.
