Activities for adult learners
UCL welcomes students of all ages. In 2012/13 we are offering events and activities to advise and encourage prospective students who will be 21 years of age or above upon the time of starting their degree programme.
Biosciences Division information session
An opportunity to learn about the degree programmes and meet academics from the division. Prospective students will see the facilities and speak to current students as well as finding out more about student life at UCL on Wednesday, 31 October 2012.
Masterclasses
UCL will be running unique subject-based masterclasses developed by leading UCL academics during November 2012. Masterclasses include a lecture and group work/participation and/or lecturer led demonstrations and give students an opportunity to gain a greater insight into a subject area. These classes will take place in the early evening, are usually for two hours and will be specifically designed for adult learners.
Examples of previous masterclasses include:
- Analysing DNA;
- Criminal Law;
- Printmaking before photography: art and information;
- Sport, Politics and Propaganda in the Ancient World
Students can book a place on masterclasses individually through our website: www.ucl.ac.uk/adultlearners.
