Year 11 autumn programme
Every autumn we run an autumn programme for Year 11 students focused on future careers and preparation for GCSE and A level achievement. Sessions run on five Saturdays in September and October.
Students enrolled on the programme will be sent reminders and confirmation of their Careers talk choices in early September 2012.
Please note that applications for the 2012 Year 11 Autumn programme have now closed.
Year 11 Careers Conference 2012
Saturday, 15 September - 10am - 3pm
A full day of presentations about future career
possibilities at the start of Year 11. Year 11s will select three talks
from young working professionals in these sectors:
- law;
- education;
- science;
- health;
- engineering;
- psychology;
- finance.
Careers and Study Skills workshops
Saturday 22, 29 September and 6, 13 October 2012 - 10am - 1pm
Four-week programme of workshops focusing on:
- interview skills;
- how to choose your A levels;
- revision techniques;
- essay planning skills;
- critical thinking;
- work experience and CVs;
- university finance from 2012;
- getting an A in Maths GCSE.
