UCL Horizons Year 12 information events
UCL Horizons run two annual information evenings for Year 12 students.
These evenings are open to any students attending non-selective state schools who aspire to apply to UCL.
Our October half term ‘Choices’ evening focuses on degree subject choice. Year 12s have the chance to talk to UCL students and alumni to find out more about a diverse range of degree subjects.
The evening also includes an overview presentation on degree choice and UCAS strategy.
Our February half term evening focuses on Personal Statements.
Year 12 Personal Statements Workshop
Wednesday, 20 February 2013, 17.00–19.30
This evening includes:
- Overview presentation about applying to university through UCAS and how to write a good personal statement
- Group exercises designed to help you write a great personal statement
- An opportunity to discuss ideas for your personal statement with Outreach staff and current UCL students
- Refreshments
