Undergraduate Accommodation
Places in UCL student accommodation are allocated by the UCL Student Residences team. UCL guarantees accommodation to those undergraduate students who meet all of the following criteria:
- They are studying full-time for a full academic year
- They complete and return their housing application forms no later than 31st May (undergraduates) of the year in which they intend to start.
- They have received and firmly accepted an offer of a place at UCL, conditional or unconditional, by 31st May (undergraduates) of the year in which they intend to start.
- They have spent no previous time attending an institution of higher education in London.
Those who have firmly accepted the offer of a place at UCL should return their completed application form (available from the UCL Student Residences website) to:
UCL Student Residences
University College London
117 Gower Street
London WC1E 6BT
UK
Students are usually informed in late-August to early-September whether or not their application for UCL accommodation has been successful. For more information about the student residences and how to complete the application form, please visit the student accommodation website or contact UCL Student Residences at residences@ucl.ac.uk.
Although every effort will be made to house those international students who fall outside of these criteria, we regret that we are unable to make a guarantee of a place in a UCL student residence. Those students should therefore be prepared to make their own accommodation arrangements in the event that we are unable to house them. The University of London Housing Services can assist you in finding accommodation in the private sector and we strongly advise you to make early contact with this office.
