Planning

The period of study abroad will be one semester and will typically take place during the spring and summer terms of your second year.

You will be required to register your initial interest in studying abroad by completing and submitting a Study Abroad Approval Form to the Study Abroad Team by the end of the autumn term of your first year.

Study Abroad Approval Forms will be available to collect from the Study Abroad Team from November 2012. Completed forms must be returned to the Study Abroad Team no later than Friday 7 December 2012.

During the spring term, you will participate in the Study Abroad Preparation Programme, the successful completion of which is a prerequisite for progression to your period of study abroad.

With the assistance of your department and the Study Abroad Team, you will prepare your application to the institution at which you wish to study abroad. Application deadlines will differ according to the institution you are applying to - contact your Study Abroad Tutor for details.
