Juan Pablo Acosta Martinez is a third year PhD Biochemical Engineering student on the Consejo National de Ciencia y Tecnologia (CONACYT) scholarship.

Personally I chose UCL because the Department of Biochemical Engineering offers the best combination of academic research and industry experience that I have ever seen in an engineering department. I am very pleased to be accepted here and to have economic support from the Mexican government with the CONACYT scholarship.

My experience has been great, not only in UCL but the city of London is a very interesting place, there are so many activities to do ranging from culture, sports or recreational that there is not a single day where there is nothing interesting going on.

I totally recommend coming here and experiencing life as a student in UCL.”
