"UCL is one of the best and most prestigious universities in the world. I chose to study at the Civil, Environmental, and Geomatic Engineering Department because it has a great coastal research group. My research project is focused on analysing different methods to increase beach resilience and reduce erosion rates. UCL has very good laboratory facilities to run physical experiments that complement and improve my project. Also, studying at UCL has given me the opportunity to meet very prominent researchers in my study area. Studying a PhD gives you the opportunity to manage your own time. So when I´m not studying I like to do a lot of exercise and play some music. I´ve recently joined UCL´s cycling and triathlon societies, and its been great because they organise frequent cycling rides to very beautiful places.

There is always something interesting to do in London. You can go to a concert, pub, conference, museum, park, and so on. You can´t get bored in this multi-cultural city. One of the main reasons I chose London to study is because it is very easy and cheap to travel around Europe. Living and studying in London has been a great experience, I´ve made great friends and I completely recommend studying here."
