There is a long tradition of Canadian students studying at UCL. In the academic year 2012/13 there are 218 Canadian nationals studying at all levels and in a wide variety of subjects.

Juan Fidel Anaya is an MB PhD Neuroscience Student, at the Institute of Neurology, on a UCL Overseas Research Student scholarship and the Alzheimer's Research Trust PhD scholarship. "I chose UCL as it is a global university. It attracts intelligent and creative people from all corners of the world, giving the UCL experience an extremely vivid and colourful dimension. Lauren Rotenberg is an MPhil/PhD History of Art student on a UCL Overseas Research Scholarship and Graduate Research Scholarship. "I chose UCL because my professor at McGill University recommended its History of Art programme. I undertook the MA degree in 2007, and found it intimate, challenging, and extremely rewarding. Brent Pilkey is a PhD Architectural History and Theory student, at the Bartlett School of Architecture, on a UCL Global Excellence Scholarship and the UCL Overseas Research Scholarship.

Fiona McDonald is a PhD Anthropology student on an Overseas Research Scholarship. "Studying at UCL meant that I would get to work in a first-class institution under the primary supervision of Professor Susanne Kuechler and the strong concentration of scholars working on Material Culture in the Department of Anthropology. Being situated in London I have benefited greatly from having access to key resources such as: The Centre for Anthropology at The British Museum, Victoria and Albert Museum and The British Library all on my doorstop.
