Ming-Wei Chang
Ming-Wei Chang is a PhD Drug Delivery student, in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, on a UCL Overseas Research Scholarship.

“I left my job to come to UCL as a full-time research student. I had a dream to study further and to do advanced multidisciplinary research. I am glad that I made a right choice and have had the chance to fulfil my dream. The reason I chose UCL, apart from its advanced research facilities and faculties, was because of the attitude of my supervisor who devotes his life to pursue outstanding research in science. I am also very fortunate to have a co-supervisor who is genuinely interested and really contributes to my work. Thanks to the Overseas Research Scholarship and my supervisors’ support, I have the opportunity to explore my interest and pursue advanced research in biomedical engineering at UCL.

Doing research at UCL I strongly feel the intellectual and cultural impact of studying here. Top students who come from different countries compete and cooperate to develop valuable research and influence the future. Studying at UCL not only allows me to develop scientific work, but also to develop myself as a global citizen. I really value my time here at UCL.”
