Entry Requirements

Please note that the following information is only a general guide. In addition, other factors may be taken into consideration such as relevant work experience. Please refer to the Undergraduate Prospectus or the Graduate School Prospectus for further information.

Undergraduate Study

For entry into UCL's undergraduate degree programmes, students who hold A-levels or the International Baccalaureate with good grades will be considered.

The Kazakh secondary school qualification does not meet the general entrance requirement for entry onto an undergraduate degree programme at UCL. However, students who have obtained the Gold Medal award from their High School are particularly encouraged to apply. To be eligible for consideration, a student should usually have successfully completed at least two years of study at a recognised Kazakh university. Alternatively, students who have successfully completed a recognised foundation programme, including the UCL University Preparatory Certificate for Science and Engineering, will be considered.

English Language Requirement

If English is not your first language you will also need to satisfy UCL’s English Language Requirement. A variety of English language programmes are offered at the UCL Language Centre.

Graduate Study

The award of a Diplom ob Okanchanii Vyssheg(v)o Uchebnog(v)o Zavedeniya or Specialist diploma from a recognised institution with good grades is acceptable for application to graduate programmes.

For specific entry requirements for individual programmes, students are best advised to contact the Graduate Admissions Tutor as listed in the Graduate School Prospectus.
