Graduate Affiliate

As a Graduate Affiliate Student you will follow a taught programme of study at graduate level, rather than conducting research. You will be able to take individual modules from UCL Master’s or Graduate Diploma programmes and will study alongside full-degree programme students. An ‘affiliate’ student is normally one who is registered for a qualification elsewhere but who wishes to study at UCL to complement the work done at his or her home institution. In appropriate cases it may be possible to assign credit to the work done at UCL, but it is not possible to receive a UCL qualification as an Affiliate student.

Graduate Affiliate status is expected to appeal mainly to international students. The length of study at UCL varies normally between 3 months and one year.

Applicants for admission to affiliate taught programmes at UCL should consult the relevant departmental pages to identify modules of interest at the Master's or Diploma level. Please note that all courses are expected to be taken from within the admitting department.
