Application fees

Application fees

The application processing fee for most graduate taught programmes is £75 for online applications and £100 for paper applications (with a small number of exceptions - see below).

The fee will apply to the following types of programme:

  • Master's degrees (MA, MSc, LLM, etc.)
  • Postgraduate Diplomas (PG Dip)
  • Postgraduate Certificates (PG Cert), except PGCE
  • Graduate Diplomas (Grad Dip)

The application fee is non-refundable. If you apply for more than one programme the fee is payable for each application submitted. Rejection of the application i.e. failure on the part of an applicant to secure a place, is not sufficient to merit a refund.

There is no application fee for Master of Research (MRes) or postgraduate research programmes (MPhil/PhD).

Please see UCL's Admissions Fees Terms and Conditions for full details.

Exceptions

Please see details of programmes that are exempt from the application fee.

UCL acknowledges that prospective students living in conflict zones, or affected by displacement, may face considerable difficulties in paying the application fee. UCL is firmly committed to making the application process accessible to individuals disadvantaged by such circumstances and would be pleased to consider written requests for suspension of the application fee. Should you wish to make such a request, please contact postgraduate-admissions@ucl.ac.uk.

Eastman Dental Institute applicants

The application processing fee for the Eastman Dental Institute is £110 for online applications and £135 for paper applications.

Teacher Training applicants

Applications for School Direct programmes and UCL's Primary and Secondary PGCE programmes are processed through UCAS, which does charge a small fee. There is no additional fee from UCL.

Applications for Early Years Initial Teacher Training and UCL's Post-Compulsory PGCE programmes are made direct to UCL. There is no application fee for these programmes.
