With over two million books and subscriptions to over 12,000 journals in a combination of electronic and print formats, UCL Library Services provides access to a vast range of resources across all degree subjects. Facilities include a main library and 15 specialist libraries, with valuable and historic material housed in Special Collections.
UCL's diverse range of museums and collections hold a wealth of objects, artworks, specimens and images, forming a resource of international importance available for academic research purposes. In addition, some collections are open to the public for general interest and enjoyment. The collections comprise:

The UCL Library Special Collections hold archives, rare books and significant manuscripts.
UCL also houses the UK's only Regional Planetary Image Facility, containing NASA images and data returned from space missions.
UCL offers a
thriving and dynamic academic community, with events, lectures and exhibitions
taking place all year round, including our popular Lunch Hour Lecture series which provides an
opportunity for anyone to sample the exceptional research work taking place at

The UCL Centre for Languages & International Education (CLIE) offers excellent facilities for language learning and professional purposes, or for enjoyment.
Evening courses in Arabic, Dutch, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Icelandic, Italian, Japanese, Kazakh, Latin, Mandarin, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish and Welsh are offered.
You can support your learning through the use of the Self-Access Centre, equipped with an online library of films and TV documentaries, a language laboratory, computer-assisted learning, resource books, journals and newspapers.
