Political Science

UCL’s Department of Political Science is recognised as a centre of excellence in the field with our research rated among the top six in the UK (RAE 2008). In addition to leading research and teaching, the department also hosts a number of “policy in practice” talks with leading politicians every term and has an active student association that organises speaker and alumni events.

The Constitution Unit, located in the department, is also the UK’s foremost independent research body on constitutional reform. For those interested in interdisciplinary research, the department is affiliated with a number of leading research institutes at UCL such as the Institute for Human Rights, European Institute, the Institute of Global Governance, and the Environment Institute.

Student View
