Pharmacy (School of)


The school is home to a number of specialist research centres and is the first Global International Federation (FIP) Collaborating Centre in partnership with WHO and UNESCO. It has invested £6 million in research facilities in the past six years and is recognised as a leader in pharmaceutical research. Our taught postgraduate programmes reflect the research and academic expertise within the school in drug discovery, drug delivery, drug targets, drug action, clinical pharmacy and the use of medicines. This expertise is enhanced by active participation in teaching by external leaders in the pharmaceutical and biotechnological industries and leading clinical practitioners. This includes the provision by these professionals of placement opportunities for Master's Research Projects and PhD collaboration in the pharma and biotech industries, hospitals and research institutes.
