Computer Science

UCL Computer Science is a global leader in research in experimental computer science. The most recent Research Assessment Exercise rated 80% of our work world-leading or internationally excellent. Our degrees recognise the ever-increasing importance of computer systems in fields such as commerce, industry, government and science. UCL Computer Science graduates are particularly valued as a result of the Department's international status, strong reputation for leading research, numerous links with industry and an ideal location close to the City of London. Throughout its history the department has had a big impact on the computing landscape – we established the first connection to the precursor of the internet outside the U.S. – and we continue to create innovative technologies that change lives with computers.
