Cancer Institute

The UCL Cancer Institute, with its 50 scientific group leaders, 32 clinical scientists, and 50 honorary clinical consultants, is an internationally competitive centre for cancer research which focuses on excellence in training of cancer clinicians and scientists, and contributing to the best possible clinical care of patients with cancer. The Cancer Institute is the nucleus for the UCL Cancer Research UK Centre and the Experimental Cancer Medicine Centre, with affiliations to a number of teaching hospitals. Our strength is the collaboration of researchers who work on fundamental biological mechanisms with those who translate this knowledge into clinical applications. We have excellent research facilities, a full-time postgraduate tutor to mentor students, a conference travel fund, and networking/careers events for our students.
