Academic resources

We strive to ensure that the facilities and services we offer are continually developed and maintained to support your needs.

The resources described here are reinforced by the remarkable facilities, events and opportunities on offer in the wider London community.

Computer and IT facilities

The user ID and password issued to you on enrolment will provide access to a wide range of departmental IT facilities, open-access computer workrooms and student residences. This includes your own UCL email address and access to more than 100 software packages, using a secure central filestore with automatic backup. Many departments also have their own computer facilities to meet specialised requirements. UCL’s wireless network (eduroam) provides you with secure web and email access in many locations across UCL. You can access IT training through scheduled sessions or online courses.
