The majority of UCL's graduate programmes accept online applications. However, there are a number of programmes for which online application is not accepted. A list of these is given below.

Graduate programmes that don't accept online applications

• Doctorate in Clinical Psychology - online applications are permitted for Overseas students only. UK/EU students must apply via a clearing house.
• Doctorate in Educational and Child Psychology
• Doctorate in Educational Psychology (CPD)
• MB PhD programme - details of the application process are available at: http://www.ucl.ac.uk/mbphd/applying
• MSc/Postgraduate Diploma/Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education – applications should be submitted to the Royal College of Physicians, details of the process are available at: www.rcplondon.ac.uk/education/professional-development/msc-medical-education
• MSc in Transport, MSc in Transport with Business Management and MSc in Transport with Sustainable Development – applications should be submitted to Imperial College

If you wish to apply for a UCL graduate programme for which online application is not acceptable, you should download a paper application.

UCL will only consider completed applications. In order to be complete, an application requires an electronic transcript and your two referees must have uploaded their references via the secure website. It is your responsibility to ensure that your referees upload their references prior to any application deadline. Your transcript can be either a scanned version of a paper one that you upload with your application or one downloaded from your institution’s secure website.

Once you have submitted your application, should you wish to make any amendments you must contact UCL Access & Admissions.

Apply online checklist

UCL expects that the online application form will be submitted by you as an individual and not through an agency. UCL is not able to support applications made through agents. UCL expects that the email ID and password that you create will be used by you solely for the purpose of submitting your own application(s) to study at UCL. The reuse of log-in details for a different applicant can result in loss of data from applications that have already been submitted and may delay or adversely impact your application(s) to study at UCL.

In order to use Apply Online, you should satisfy a number of conditions. Please read the statements below and check the boxes to confirm you have done so. If you satisfy the following conditions and can check all four boxes, then click the ‘submit’ button and you will be transferred to the Apply Online pages.

1. I have checked whether there is an application deadline and I will submit my application before any applicable deadline. I understand that references must be uploaded before any deadline.     2. I can provide a valid email address for each referee and I have contacted both referees to advise them they will receive a request to upload their reference via a secure website. I understand that my application will be put on hold and will not be considered by UCL until references have been uploaded.       3. I am able to submit my transcript in electronic format at the same time as my application. This document will be: less than 2Mb in size in one of the following formats: .doc, .docx, .jpg, .pdf 4. If the application processing fee applies to my programme (see above), I am able to pay the fee online as part of my application, or arrange for the fee to be paid on my behalf, and have read and understood the Terms and Conditions. I understand that if a fee is required, my application is not submitted to UCL before the fee is paid. I understand that if I am applying for a postgraduate research programme or a programme which is exempt (see above), that no fee is required.
