Application guidelines (taught degrees)
If you are considering applying to graduate taught programmes at UCL, please read carefully the following application process guidelines.
Identify the degree programme at UCL you wish to study
A list of all graduate taught programmes offered at UCL is available on our website. You can also use the keyword search and look at programme listings by subject and by faculty.
Check the entry requirements
Check that you meet the entry requirements for the programme you are interested in. Academic entry requirements can be viewed in the relevant programme entry of the graduate prospectus. Read about the general entrance requirements for graduate study at UCL.
If you are an international student, you can find specific information relating to your country qualifications acceptable by UCL on our website (select your country from the map and follow the entrance requirements link on the right-hand side).
If your education has not been conducted in English, you will be expected to demonstrate evidence of an adequate level of English proficiency. Check UCL’s English language proficiency requirements.
If you have additional questions you can contact the relevant admissions tutor in the department. Their contact details can be found in the online prospectus.
Check application deadlines
Remember to check application deadlines for your programme of interest. If you are applying for funding take into consideration funding application deadlines.
Submit your application online
For most graduate programmes you should apply through our website where you will find more information about the online application process
Applications must be supported by:
- two references from people who are able to comment on your suitability for the programme for which you are applying;
- transcripts (in English) for all qualifications that are relevant to your application;
- English language certificate (if appropriate).
Await decision
You will be able to track the progress of your application via the UCL Applicants Portal.
