1B23: PREREQUISITES

You WILL need:

`A'-level mathematics
`A'-level physics

or their equivalents. In particular you will need basic calculus (the ability to differentiate and integrate simple expressions) and familiarity with Newton's laws of motion, forces, potentials, and simple electrostatics.

You WILL NOT need:

Any prior familiarity with quantum physics;
Any knowledge of astronomy or cosmology.

If you want to take the course and are in any doubt about your qualifications, consult your Tutor or one of the Lecturers.
