Pentland Scholarship for the Master of Public Administration, Executive Programme in Global Public Policy and Management 2017/18 Entry (Deadline: Monday 1st May 2017)

The School of Public Policy offers a Pentland Scholarship to support one individual undertaking its Global EMPA programme run jointly with NYU Wagner.  The scholarship will be awarded to individuals from Africa, Asia-Pacific or Latin America and will support outstanding young people who have at least seven years of management-related experience, and they can demonstrate a capacity to benefit from the programme, a clear sense in which they will be able to contribute to public service and who lack the means to finance their own study.  The Pentland Scholarship represents a unique partnership which enables talented young professionals from the Global South to take advantage of this innovative one year programme. The successful candidate will benefit from additional access to an internship with Pentland, membership of a global community of Pentland Scholars and UCL/NYU scholars and alumni.The scholarship meets the full cost of tuition and fees for the programme and will provide the successful individual with a full stipend.  Scholarships will be awarded to applicants from low and middle income countries as currently defined by the World Bank on the basis of best fit to the programme and an assessment of financial need.

Fulbright-UCL Award for the Executive MPA in Global Public Policy and Management 2017/18 Entry (Deadline: Tuesday 5pm, 11th October 2016) NOW CLOSED.

In this award category, one award will be offered to a US citizen, who is a mid-career professional, to pursue a semester in the UK as part of the jointly run Global EMPA with NYU Wagner. The Fulbright Award semester will be spent at University College London (UCL) School of Public Policy in London and will take place during the spring. Grantees will complete the first semester at New York University’s Wagner Graduate School of Public Service in New York City. No additional funding is available for US citizens from the Fulbright Commission for this US-based first semester.

In addition to applying for the award, students must apply for admission to the UCL/NYU Wagner course in the normal way. Please review the admissions criteria for the UCL/NYU Wagner course to make sure you are eligible before applying for this scholarship.

Applicants to the Global EMPA at NYU Wagner and University College London should have at least 7 years of management-level experience, and be either a rising leader, or already in an executive position.More information on the award here.

Fulbright-NYU Award for the Executive MPA in Global Public Policy and Management 2017/18 Entry (Applications for 2017-2018 open 1st August 2016) 

In this award category, one award will be offered to a British citizen, who is a mid-career professional, to pursue a semester in the US as part of the jointly run Global EMPA with NYU Wagner. The Fulbright Award semester will be spent at New York University's Wagner Graduate School of Public Service in New York City and will take place during the autumn. Grantees will then return to the UK to complete a second semester at University College London. No additional funding is available for British citizens from the Fulbright Commission for this UK-based second semester.  

In addition to applying for the award, students must apply for admission to the UCL/NYU Wagner course in the normal way. Please review the admissions criteria for the UCL/NYU Wagner course to make sure you are eligible before applying for this scholarship.
