Anastasia is a PhD student at UCL Department of Geography and School of Public Policy. Her PhD research, under the supervision of Dr Slava Mikhaylov and Professor Paul Longley, is focused on applying big data science and geographic information data science to retail research. In particular, she works with data from smart meters that record energy consumption across the UK in order to identify whether there is potential to inform future public policy interventions in the energy sector using big data.
She holds a degree in Economics from City University London and Master’s degree in Public Policy from UCL. She also spent one year at Toulouse School of Economics as an Erasmus student.
