UCL Research Equipment Catalogue

A searchable catalogue of UCL's significant research equipment

The UCL Research Equipment Catalogue can now be accessed online. The Catalogue is a searchable database containing information about all UCL’s major research equipment and facilities. Users can view information about each item (such as technical specifications and availability) and use an enquiry form to contact the equipment owner. It is possible to browse by department, facility and manufacturer or search by keyword.

The catalogue has been assembled by the Office of the UCL Vice-Provost (Research) in response to a requirement from Research Councils UK and new equipment funding guidelines. UCL is using the open source Kit-Catalogue software developed by Loughborough University to run the catalogue. It generally contains equipment of purchase value over £25k, although many lower-value items, which may be accessible for sharing, are also listed.

This catalogue encourages equipment sharing and collaboration by making visible our research technologies/capabilities across all faculties at UCL.
