Daiwa Adrian Prize 2013 awarded to UCL/ Tokyo research team

The charge density of electrons in calcium aluminate

Professor Alexander Shluger and Dr Peter Sushko have been awarded one of the 2013 Daiwa Adrian Prizes, which recognise significant scientific collaboration between Japanese and British research teams. The UCL team was awarded the prize jointly with researchers at the Tokyo Institute of Technology for a longstanding collaboration in materials science.

SEERe- Ink: A solution of charged single-walled carbon nanotubes


Linde Electronics is today launching a ground-breaking new product using technology invented in colloaboration at UCL. SEERe- is a revolutionary ink that contains tiny tubes of carbon 10,000th the diameter of a human hair, and which can be used to make conductive films for flat screen TVs and lightweight strong, composite materials.
