Additional Fee Element (AFE)

Research programmes at the UCL School of Pharmacy may be subject to an Additional Fee Element (AFE). The AFE is levied to cover additional costs related to consumables, equipment and materials etc. which are not included in the composite tuition fees above. As each PhD programme is unique in its nature, the AFE is caluclated on a student by student basis and is determined by the supervisor. (NB At some UK institutions the AFE may be referred to as "bench fees".)

Students funded by an Industrial Partner

Students who are funded by an industrial partner where the partner wishes to retain any commercial rights to the results may be subject to an additional charge.
