Drug Discovery
Our drug discovery activities focus on three complementary areas:
- Cancer medicines
- Antimicrobials (especially against MRSA infections)
- Natural products as a source of novel compounds against a range of human diseases
Our work is interdisciplinary, ranging from medicinal and synthetic chemistry to cancer pharmacology, structural biology, proteomics, microbiology and phytomedicines. We are also interested in drug mechanism of action, with a focus on estrogens.
