Professor Simon Gibbons, a member of the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs, has recommended a broader drugs education in primary and middle schools. At present, there is little coverage of this issue in the curriculum and Prof Gibbons argues that awareness of these matters should be raised from an early age.
