Athena SWAN Bronze Award for Pharmacy
24 April 2015
The Equality Challenge Unit has announced the latest round of Athena SWAN award winners, of which the UCL School of Pharmacy is a recipient. The bronze award will be valid until April 2018. Many thanks go to Professor Felicity Smith and her team for all their hard work on this application.
ECU’s Athena SWAN Charter has been developed to encourage and recognise commitment to combating the underrepresentation of women and to advance their careers in science, technology, engineering, maths and medicine (STEMM) research and academia.
113 higher education institutions, research institutes and individual schools and departments will receive an ECU Athena SWAN award. It is the highest number of awards presented to date, with the success rate increasing in this round compared to the last from 69 per cent to 73 per cent. The awards ceremony will be held on 15 June 2015 at the University of Greenwich.
ECU’s Athena SWAN charter and gender equality charter mark will be brought together in April 2015. More information about the future of ECU’s Athena SWAN charter mark click here
