Common Problems for Students

Student problems are not easily pigeon-holed. Even broad classifications overlap and merge: academic and personal problems interact and often prove inseparable. Nevertheless, in terms of the form in which problems may come to the attention of personal tutors, there are a number of recurrent categories:

  • Work-related Problems
  • Requests to Change Degree Course
  • Examination Stress
  • Financial Difficulties
  • Relationship Difficulties
  • Harassment and Bullying
  • Problems for International Students
  • Student References
