Welcome to Personal and Professional Development at UCL
UCL has long believed in the importance of the personal and professional development of its students. We recognise its importance to the whole student experience: transition, academic-work, extra-curricular activities and to students' career prospects.
Its importance to a UCL education goes beyond this. We believe that a university education should aid students' personal and social development, so that our graduates are ready to meet the challenges facing individuals, communities and mankind on a global scale. By developing your knowledge, skills and attributes, you develop your ability to meet these challenges. Personal and professional development is therefore part of UCL's bigger project to provide an education for Global Citizenship.
UCL therefore provides a number of resources, targeted to different aspects of the development process. This site will help UCL taught students and their personal tutors to navigate and get the most out of them.
