Prospective users

The UCL Research Departments of Primary Care & Population Health (PCPH) and Infection & Population Health (IPH) pay an annual license fee that covers full access to The Health Improvement Network (THIN) database.

If you are a researcher at UCL or another university interested in conducting research using THIN data, it may be possible to access the data through PCPH by establishing a research collaboration with the department. This will be dependent on a number of factors including contributing towards the cost of the THIN license fee.

We are in the process of developing a set of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for primary care database studies. These SOPs will be available to UCL staff and students within PCPH/IPH and project collaborators. Please check back shortly for more information.
