Highlights from the Project Paphlagonia survey

Funerary column with inscription in Greek at site PS071. The inscription reads: 'His children Kyrillos and Kyrinas, who were dearest to him, set up this stele over their long-lived father Kyrittas, farmer, good friend, trader and clothes merchant, at the end of a sweet life, in memory and reverence. Year 223.' The date of the inscription is AD 218.
