UCL Psychology and Language Sciences

Summer Course in English Phonetics

Rooms are offered at reduced rates in student accommodation.

The main residence provided in 2017 is John Dodgson House, a self-catered student residence walking distance from SCEP classes at UCL. The rooms are single study bedrooms, each with a private en-suite shower and toilet. No meals are provided, but there are kitchens with basic cooking facilities. Numerous restaurants are located in the area. Meals may also be purchased in the UCL Refectory and other cafes on campus.

2017 rate: 12 nights (arriving August 13th, departing August 25th) £525.

This accommodation package is for 12 nights only, with checkout on the morning of August 25th, the last day of SCEP teaching. Depending on when you are arriving in and departing from London, you may need to book extra nights. This applies also to those on the IPA Exam Strand, since the examination is held at UCL on the Tuesday following SCEP. Requests for extra nights should be directed to scep@phon.ucl.ac.uk

Please note that student residences do not offer the level of comfort or facilities you might expect in a hotel. As this accommodation is offered at special reduced rates, the terms and conditions may differ in some details from those advertised on the hall's own website.

We are generally unable to refund accommodation payments. You are advised to obtain adequate personal travel insurance to cover you for any illness or accident which might prevent you from attending the course.
