Travel

Airlines such as Lufthansa, Germanwings and Croatia Airlines fly from various European cities to Zagreb, Zadar and Split. Check out the flight connections to Zadar at http://www.zadar-airport.hr/en/destinations.

  • If you fly directly to Zadar Airport, you can take a shuttle bus from the airport to the main bus stop in Zadar (address: Ante Starčevića 1) for 25 HRK. Zadar Airport shuttle bus timetable.
  • Those who arrive at Zagreb Airport can also take a take a shuttle bus from the airport to the main bus stop in Zagreb from where buses to Zadar leave every 1-2 hours. In the daytime, the bus service runs regularly between the two cities and the trip takes ca. 3,5 hours. For the bus schedule in Zagreb check: http://akz.hr/. If you decide to travel to Zadar by bus, you will also arrive at the main bus station in Zadar. 
  • If you arrive at Split Airport, take the bus no. 37 to Trogir which stops by the main road near the airport. At Trogir bus station, take a bus to Zadar. The journey lasts about 3 hours and offers some stunning views of the Adriatic Sea.  

The main bus station in Zadar is within 25 minutes walk from the main University building and the Butique Hostel, and 10 minutes walk from the Hotel Kolovare.

Accommodation

The University of Zadar has arranged a discount for AAB2015 Conference participants who wish to stay at the Hotel Kolovare or at the Boutique Hostel Forum.  

  • Hotel Kolovare is a three star hotel within 15 minutes walk from the conference venue and a few minutes walk from the main bus station. The hotel offers a 50% discount, a half board price is 336 HRK (cca. 45 €), and includes breakfast and lunch. We have reserved a limited number of rooms at the discounted rate, please contact us by March 22 if you would like to book one of these rooms and we will forward your reservation. Please send your name and affiliation together with your arrival and departure dates to our email address.

  • Boutique Hostel Forum is a design hostel situated in the heart of Zadar just off the ancient forum, within 5 minutes walk from the conference venue and a 20 minutes walk from the main bus station. The University of Zadar has arranged a 10% discount off the regular prices for conference participants who stay at the Boutique Hostel Forum (http://en.hostelforumzadar.com/). You can book a room at the discounted rate via the webpage of the hostel  or via email.
