Event Information

Location

In 2018, the World Health Organisation will endorse a new diagnosis of Complex PTSD in the International Classification of Diseases – 11th Edition (ICD-11).

In this seminar David will present the proposed criteria and consider the evidence supporting interventions for Complex PTSD. David will also consider the research on immediate responses to traumatic events, and what we can learn about supporting young people following such events.

Following David’s presentation there will be an interactive panel discussion and opportunity for questions.

This seminar will be suitable for anyone working as a practitioner, researcher or policy maker within CAMHS or associated fields, and will be facilitated by Professor Miranda Wolpert.

It will be the fifth in the Child Outcome Research Consortium (CORC) and Evidence Based Practice Unit (EBPU)’s co-hosted “So What?” Seminar Series. The series aims to bridge evidence and practice in child mental health by asking "So what does this mean for policy and practice?" in response to research findings, project outcomes, and the work of our collaborators.
