I am currently working on 1) flexible and timely psychological support for people in prisons and other secure settings 2) understanding the relationship between prospective thinking, coping and distress in clinical and non clinical populations 3) attachment models and self regulation

I completed by first degree at the University of Glasgow and followed this with a PhD in experimental psychology at the same institution. I then moved to Imperial College London where I worked on a large scale longitudinal study of first episode psychosis focused on cognitive changes following onset of difficulties. I then trained clinically, at Royal Holloway, and then moved to a research clinical psychologist position at the Institute of Psychiatry. This involved evaluating interventions to target cognitive impairments in psychosis and then working in the Outreach and Support in South London team supporting young people with psychosis in prison.
