Two UCL PALS academics have taken part in the Conscious Cities Conference this May.
Congratulations to Lilian Tu, a 1st year student on the BSc Psychology & Language Sciences programme, who has been awarded a Summer Studentship by the charity ‘Action on Hearing Loss’ to investigate the effects of hearing loss on the relative intelligibility of speech by young and older adults.
Dr Tamar Makin of the Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience was interviewed by the Independent about her study of people born with one hand, which suggests that neuroscience may have misunderstood the way the brain is organised.
Prof. Sophie Scott from the Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience recorded a podcast with Russel Brand this week for his Under The Skin podcast channel. Sophie spoke about how politicians use jokes, like Trump, Boris and Theresa May.
