Professor Tom Treasure attends NICE International conference

In August 2009, the UK Department of Health sponsored a two-day workshop in Hyderabad to inform clinicians and policy makers about the methods and processes used in developing National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) clinical guidelines.
The workshop was organised jointly with NICE International at the invitation of the Institute of Public Health in Hyderabad. Over fifty participants attended, including lead clinicians, senior policy makers and high level health officials. Professor Tom Treasure of CORU, who has experience in guideline development with NICE, was present as “clinical champion” in the visiting NICE International team.
