The Department of Neuroscience, Physiology and Pharmacology has 48 full-time Academic Staff, 81 full-time research staff, 32 support (technical, administrative,secretarial) staff and 58 postgraduate research students.

The Department participates in a number of 4year-PhD programmes and is home to the 4year Wellcome Trust Neuroscience programme, usually admitting 6 postgraduate students each year. These are supplemented by a number of 3-year PhD studentship awards from the MRC and BBSRC
