Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI)

The UK TAVI Registry collects data on all TAVI procedures performed in the UK since the introduction of the technique in 2007.

The registry is managed by NICOR with clinical direction and strategy provided by the UK TAVI steering group (established in 2008), which has representatives from the British Cardiovascular Intervention Society, the Society for Cardiothoracic Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland, NICOR, NHS England, and The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence.

More information on the UK TAVI registry can be found in the About section.

TAVI data collection update

The data collection and analysis  for TAVI continues to run, in spite of a hiatus in the funding for this project.  We are in the process of trying to find a funding solution.  In the meantime please continue to upload data as usual, and it will still be collected and analyses made available to everyone contributing (as before).

We are aiming for at least quarterly data uploads / validation so that we can report more contemporaneous analyses.  For those sending csv file uploads, the aim is for each centre to upload their ‘quarter’s’ TAVI data by the end of the subsequent quarter.  For those uploading using the web forms, try to make sure your data are validated by the deadlines.

The timetable of deadlines therefore follows as outlined below:

Quarter Data submission / validation deadline
Q1 2018/19 (April to June 2018) 30/09/2018
Q2 2018/19 (July to Sept 2018) 31/12/2018
Q3 2018/19 (Oct to Dec 2018) 31/03/2019
Q4 2018/19 (Jan to March 2019) 30/06/2019
