Temporary Moratorium on Data Access Requests
10 April 2017
NICOR are pleased to announce that Barts Health has been awarded the contract for the National Cardiac Audit Programme (NCAP). This follows successful negotiations with HQIP for the 2017-20 National Cardiac Audit contract extension. The programme will be hosted at the Barts Heart Centre, one of Europe’s largest clinical cardiac treatment centres. The contract will start on 1 July 2017. NICOR will initiate a temporary moratorium on the processing of new third party data access requests from 1 May to 10 July 2017. This is to ensure the correct governance arrangements are in place to support the onward sharing of data.
The following timetable sets out final deadlines before the temporary moratorium is in place for cardiac applications.
|Deadline for new Data Access requests||21 April 2017|
|Internal NICOR review and sign off||5 May 2017|
|Submission to HQIP DARG||8 May 2017|
|HQIP DARG meeting||18 May 2017|
Please ensure you submit a complete application form as inaccuracies or omissions will delay the approval process. Subject to all approvals being in place, we will endeavour to release data before the middle of June. However, as timelines are determined by the final date of approval we will update each applicant on a case by case basis.
Application documents and associated guidance can be found at http://www.hqip.org.uk/national-programmes/a-z-of-nca/audits-and-data-gov-uk/. If you require further assistance, please contact email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please note that the moratorium does not apply to urgent requests relating to NHS Services.
