Suggesting story ideas
UCL News Editorial Policy (pdf)
The Communications Team welcomes story suggestions from any of UCL’s staff and students. Before making contact, please consider the following factors in relation to your story suggestion:
- to whom is your news relevant? Your communication may be more effective if directed toward specific target audiences, rather than a general audience
- how timely is your story? Please give the Communications Team enough time to plan appropriate news coverage, and provide staff, students or others with enough time to get involved
- what do you want staff, students or others to do about your news? Although some articles are of general interest, many news stories invite people to do something, eg use a new resource on the web, attend an event or collaborate in research.

Please consider the factors above, then email the Communications team member assigned to your department with a short summary describing your story suggestion.
