Participants needed for online survey on the risks of unhealthy behaviours

8 August 2016

Abigail Severn (MSc Health Psychology) is conducting research into the barriers we face when we think about changing our behaviour to something healthier.

Participants needed for online survey on the risks of unhealthy behaviours The research focuses on why doctors and nurses are seen smoking and drinking, when they know the risks of such behaviour.

Abigail is looking at four health behaviours, diet, exercise, alcohol consumption and smoking. She is interested in hearing from people who engage in one of these behaviours, but haven't made any decisions on whether or not to change.

The survey will ask you if you engage in these 4 health behaviours, if you are making any plans to change, and if not, why not?

The survey should take no more than 10 minutes, the data is completely anonymous, and will not be used outside the scope of this research.

The data will go towards creating a novel measure of risk acceptance. If successful, this measure will be included in tailored interventions to help hundreds of people take the first step towards a healthier life.
